Does it cost to enter the awards?
Entry is free
Can we enter more than one category?
You can enter as many categories as you like, but you must complete a separate submission for each category.
Who can enter?
The awards are open to all UK farmers regardless of size, scale or sector
How do you enter?
Complete the simple, online form and follow the instructions
Can you submit additional information?
Yes, we welcome any additional information you can give us to support your application. We also welcome supporting photographs and/or short videos.
What happens if I only have a small farm?
The size and scale of your business is absolutely not being judged. The awards are specifically designed to recognise farmers who have gone that extra mile to innovate in their business.
When is the closing date?
The closing date is 14th July 2017.
How are the entries judged?
An independent panel of judges will select all our winners. There will be a short telephone interview for all shortlisted entries so please keep the below dates free;
Tuesday 22nd August (AM) - Digital Innovator of the Year
Tuesday 22nd August (PM) - Family Farm
Wednesday 23rd August (AM) - Diversification Innovator of the year (Small to Medium)
Wednesday 23rd August (PM) - Diversification Innovator of the year (Large)
Thursday 24th August (AM) - Beef Innovator
Thursday 24th August (PM) - Dairy Innovator
Friday 25th August (AM) - Sheep Innovator
Friday 25th August (PM) - Arable Innovator
Tuesday 29th August (AM) - Machinery Innovator
Tuesday 29th August (PM) - New Entrant
Wednesday 30th August (AM) - Agricultural Student
Wednesday 30th August (PM) - Contractor Innovator
When will I find out we have been shortlisted?
We will contact all shortlisted entrants by the end of July 2017.
When are the winners announced?
The announcement of the winners will be made at the British Farming Awards on the 19th October 2017 at the National Conference Centre, Birmingham.
